Just a few days away from the pictorial and gastronomic event “Reflections of water and oil” on the beautiful and suggestive shores of Lake Canzolino!
Yesterday evening I was surfing the net, looking for an official article about the event that I could link to the Gentile Polo gallery and I came across a short section of the Pro Loco of Madrano and Canzolino and an article in the Trentino online newspaper.

Immediately leaps to the eyes that the first, that of the Pro Loco, is such a short and concise article to completely miss naming the artists who organize the event in collaboration with her and the Albergo Ristorante Pizzeria Aurora al Lago, that is: the Lady Cornelia Bernardi, the Sardinian artist Antonello Serra, Gentile Polo of the Studio d’Arte Gentile Polo and the artist of verticality and former Art teacher Claudio Cavalieri.
The article in the “Trentino” online newspaper entitled “A Saturday to celebrate the lake of Canzolino” appears to be more complete, even though I noticed a misunderstanding after a careful reading.
The article by Roberto Gerola of Friday, July 6th shows a paragraph with the names of the artists and the list shows the same mistakes of transcription of the poster printed in a hurry from the Aurora Hotel: Cavalieri has become singular, Milici has been Frenchized in Miliet and Ms. Zanghellini found herself with a dull palatal occlusion in place of the “G”.
I then tried to contact the newspaper explaining the mistake in an attempt to make them correct the names of the artists out of respect for them.
Apart from having to write to several addresses below because they had clogged emails that gave notification of error, I finally heard today that the fault was ours because the flyer they did it wrong and that if it was not for them the event was not even advertised.
The surprise was unpleasant, but despite thanking for the attention shown I found it right to point out that the flyer was not created by our firm, the error was not ours, but the haste of those who sent to the press without checking any misprints.
However, given the sympathy of Mr. Paolo Silvestri of the editorial staff of the Trentino valleys, for which:
“… had it not been for the flyer, evidently full of errors, would not even have ended up in the newspaper ….”
referring to the event “Reflections of water and oil” is also evident the little common sense, because if the organizers of an event wait the week before to publish in a newspaper is perhaps to remain imprinted in readers, who bombarded with information and events summer, they would not be able to give you the desired attention.
And it is also evident that theirs

reports and publishes information without even checking them, contacting the organizers directly or searching comfortably on the internet, where almost everything is now found.
I myself, while managing only one blog, I took the trouble to check the names of the old list on the internet: five minutes in total, plus the time to type what else.
It is a real pity to see with what superficiality some do their work and moreover in front of a polite request for data updating, at least out of respect for the people behind those names, they have the arrogance to say that if it were not for an event in which more than thirty local and international artists participate, according to them, would remain anonymous!
What about guys?
Mr. Gentile Polo often reminds me that:
“If there is no Man behind art, there is not even an artist.”
and I think it’s good for all professions.
