Engraving and color with Rita Demattio at the new FoyEr in Trento (Italy)

The new FoyEr of Estroteatro of the Teatro di Villazzano (Via Galileo Galilei 26 - Trento) inaugurated Monday, 09 July 2018 the space with a solo exhibition of the contemporary artist Rita Demattio. After graduating from the Alessandro Vittoria of Trento High School, she obtained the Mastership and attendance at the Free School of Nude at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice where she was honored by being a student of the Venetian artist Luigi Tito (1907 - 1991), with brushstrokes short and dense, veristic in the deformity of the naked bodies of women bent on themselves, in the disintegration of time. From the teacher takes inspiration for the analysis of female nudes, where we can already glimpse the personal urgency of expressive immediacy, which leads her to experiment the fantastic until she arrives in the field of the abstract. The work in the field of engraving matures her further in the expressive techniques arriving to today's works where she alternates emotional and evocative games of shadows on monochrome to works where the incision of the matter at different levels plays with lights and shadows or discovers introspective levels of unexpected color , in a never banal synthetic narration of one's inner life. Thanks to the profound esteem and friendship between Mrs. Rita Demattio and the Rotalian artist Gentile Polo I was able to get to know the event and get to know an artist so complete and affable. Supported by her husband and surrounded by lively grandchildren, the artist has dialogued with his colleague Gentile Polo of his works and color, and has enthusiastically accepted the invitation to the next exhibition organized at the Archaeological Area of the Volksbank of Trento to be held in September 2018 and will see five Lombard artists dialogue with as many local colleagues. Also interesting is the detail of the personal readings of Mrs. Demattio, which at the moment is intrigued by the volume "The end of the crooked world" by Mauro Corona published by Mondadori. The exhibition of the artist Rita Demattio is on display at the FoyEr space of Via Galileo Galilei 26 in Trento and can be freely visited until next Saturday. We of the Gentile Polo Art Studio highly recommend it: suitable for the whole family and also for visitors with motor disabilities. http://www.teatrodivillazzano.it/2018/07/06/foyer-luglio/
