November was an intense month for the Gentile Polo Art Studio, from the November 4 event in Calliano (TN, Italy) where the friend Architect Roberto Codroico presented a conference on Castel Pietra of Calliano, the presentation of the multimedia event of the poet and composer Walter Vettori, at the end of the works for the collective “Incontri d’Autunno” in the underground rooms of Palazzo Lodron in Trento.
Intense month, even if in a few lines it does not seem.
Sunday 4 in Calliano we went, the artist Gentile Polo and I, so the interesting conference on the origins of Castel Pietra curated by the architect Roberto Codroico.
Roberto Codroico, for years responsible for the restoration of ancient buildings in Trentino, offered this conference as an added value to the current exhibition “Arria” by Antonello Serra, which celebrates this year the thirty years of pictorial activity.
Having resolved some technical technological problems with the immediate intervention of the visual artist Stefano Benedetti, the reunited room was able to listen to the troubled history of the manor, from its origins to the paintings to the contemporary.
With the architect it was possible to visit the Sala della Giustizia, now used for events and weddings, with its splendid wall decorations, and to admire from the near balcony the castle in its external structure and the embedded remains of the cannon balls medieval (stone) and Napoleonic (metal).
On November 11th, in the conference room of Castel Pietra, the multimedia and multi-sensorial event “Castelli di-versi” was held by the poet and composer Walter Vettori.
Presented, upon request, by the artist and writer Gentile Polo, Vettori has given life to mystical and gothic atmospheres through the interpretation of extracts from international authors of literature.
From the dark and smoky atmosphere of Edgar Alla Poe to the emotional power of the poetess Emily Dickinson, from the symbolist rupture of Maria Rilke to the beauty of John Keats’s poetry to the visionary atmospheres of Franz Kafka and Italo Calvino, catapulting the viewer into the mystical and transmuting world of the protagonists , in a gothic and supernatural atmosphere.
On Saturday 17th November the collective exhibition of the Trentino and Venetian masters “Incontri d’Autunno” at the Palazzo Lodron Archaeological Area in Trento ended.
With patient and careful packaging work of the Studio d’Arte Gentile Polo, the works of the artists greeted the historic walls of the Archaeological Area of Palazzo Lodron and some have already returned to their legitimate owners, others have reached the Studio in Rovere ‘della Luna and I’m waiting for the return.
During the packing, the visit and visual artist Stefano Benedetti was amusing: during the inauguration too early, too late at closing, we asked him if “blessed man” was lost again on the overview Sardinian …
Fortunately, our Stefanone is a figure and has joined the fun before returning to the office to work … it was already past 05.00 p.m.
Delicate as unexpected the surprise of the artist Cristina Zanella to the colleague organizer of “Incontri d’Autunno”, who wanted to pay homage to Mr. Gentile Polo with a beautiful painting!
We must also thank the artists Claudio Cavalieri for the valuable practical help in setting up the collective, the artist and art critic Maria Grazia Martina who has graciously offered to take care of the artistic commentary of the collective, Rita Demattio for having lent her works also some trestles, and all the artists who have borne to collaborate on guard duty during the event.
We also thank the Volksbank for the spaces offered for free use, the Roman Tridentum and the Superintendence for Archaeological Heritage for the kind supervision of the use of ancient spaces.
At 7:15 pm at last the packaging work, proper cleaning, some delivery and loading of the remaining works ended happily with the last ritual greetings and the return to the Gentile Polo Art Studio in Rovere’ della Luna (Trento, Italy) to deposit the last works.
At the end of the evening the Studio has allowed a dinner in Mezzolombardo to celebrate the end of the exhibition set-up, at least for this year in progress.
