Gentile Polo at the "Ballade of Benty Breight"

Cheerful and eventful Finissage of the "Ballade of Benty Breight" by Davide Panizza yesterday, Saturday 16 February 2019, at the Foyer space in Trento - Italy (Galileo Galilei Str. 26). "The ballad of Benty Breight" tells the children (and the patrons of the Saloon) the daring Friday of the cowboy in the difficult world of the West between vultures, bandits, cacti, rattlesnakes and Indians on the warpath. Interpreted by the voice of the actor Andrea Visibelli, "The ballad of Benty Breight" has enchanted young and old, who have listened to the adventures of the cow-boy in enchanted silence. Following the young fans were unleashed in the reorganization of the tables of history, in coloring their copies, in a delicious snack prepared by the guys from the Spazio Foyer. During the lively and cheerful afternoon the young illustrator Davide Panizza personalized and signed copies of all those who requested it. In this atmosphere of celebration and youthful art could not miss the Studio d'Arte Gentile Polo, always interested in knowing and appreciating the new promises, so much so that the same artist Gentile Polo took the ball by making his own copy of the illustrated volume dedicating it to grandchildren Sanny and Tobia! Davide Panizza (Trento - IT, 1992) brings his graduation from the Fine Arts Academy of Urbino and a Drawing MiMaster in Milan where he is passionate about the illustrated literature for children. Already an illustrator of "Young readers 2" of the De Agostini School, some issues of the Liber magazine, the Christmas campaign of Unicredit Milano and the advertising campaign for the Liberi and Eguali party in 2018, besides taking care of the graphics of the posters of the Villazzano Theater. "The ballad of Benty Breight", hand drawn and painted in computer graphics, comes to life during a workshop with Davide Calì (Switzerland, 1972), considered in the field one of the most important and prolific illustrators of books for children:
"Active mainly in the French market, from 2004 to today he has published about 60 titles, translated in over 30 countries, collaborating with countless illustrators for the major publishing houses and obtaining prestigious prizes in France, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Spain and the United States. His books come out in France for Sarbacane, Actes Sud and Thierry Magnier, in Italy for Zoolibri, Orecchio Acerbo, Kite, Rizzoli, Terre di Mezzo, in Portugal for Planeta Tangerina. For years he has been teaching comic books for young people and writing workshops for aspiring authors of books for children. He collaborates with the MiMaster of Editorial Illustration, Ars in Fabula of Macerata, IED Design Institute of Turin and Padua Atelier. "(From Hybris Association - International Center of Comics)
From excellent cultural exchanges can only be born interesting projects such as "The Ballad of Benty Breight" by Davide Panizza. During the autograph session, the young illustrator from Trentino (Italy) showed with patience to the children how a drawing is born and the magic of the eternal pencil in Ethergraph, made with a special metal alloy that allows
"A precise stroke equal to that of a pencil but also permanent like that of a pen." (from "The eternal writing instrument is born" by Paola Galvan in GEC Games e Creativity, 06.03.2014)
Details that have attracted the interest of the Gentile Polo Art Studio, always ready to know to experiment. The finesse of "The Ballad of Benty Breight" has had an excellent response from the public, with satisfaction of the author, the guys from the Teatro di Villazzano who run the Spazio Foyer and, of course, the owner of the room, the artist Rita Demattio. Mrs. Demattio confirmed to us, during the evening, her participation in the next exhibition on April 05 of the Gentile Polo Art Studio, "Il Muro al Muro", in commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall and in I wish and hope that Man will be able to break down all the real or social walls that, despite the history, continues to erect. Continue therefore to follow us for the next cultural events!
