Il Muro al muro: on April 5th, the Berlin Wall banned: against every barrier

The wall ... for every wall that falls there is a new one. It is a sad fact to report the construction of the American wall wanted by President Donald Trump to stem the great migration of entire Mexican families in search of a future. But the walls are also those that we build daily towards others, with racism, homophobia, bullying in schools, violence against children and women, but also with indifference towards the weakest and the marginalized. In the thirtieth anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall it becomes very important to remember to understand and break down all barriers. Arte could not avoid this challenge, giving life to the exhibition "Il Muro al Muro" (The Berlin Wall banned)   on April 5th in the splendid rooms of Thun Palace in Trento (Italy). On April 05, 2019 a wooden wall will rise at Thun Palace (Palazzo Thun) to be painted by eleven local and international artists and then knocked down, brick by brick, in memory of the sad Berlin Wall that divided families and one people and cost the lives of hundreds of people who tried to overcome it. In memory of the victims each wooden brick will contain a name and some quotes on the Wall and can be taken by the public in memory of the historical and artistic event! The demolition of the artistic wall will kick off the performances of two well-known artists from Trentino (Italy): the multifaceted Paul Sark, with his musical interpretation and theme recitative introduced by his fantastic object books, books that contain stories and emit three-dimensional emotions; and the performance of the ironic and irreverent Angelo Magro poet, to elegantly temper the difficulty of the theme under examination. "Il Muro al muro" (The Berlin Wall banned) will then give space to the visual sensations, through the historical photos of the Berlin Günther Schaefer and the commemorative paintings of colleagues Jörg Weber, Gabriel Heimler, Kani Alavi and Fulvio Pinna, among the most authoritative representatives of the international artists who had the honor to paint on the Berlin Wall on the occasion of his fall. These Berlin artists will be accompanied by the works of the Triestine artist Sandro Ramani and by many masters of the art of Trentino, including Rita Demattio, Edgar Caracristi, Claudio Cavalieri, Antonello Serra and the artist Rotaliano Gentile Polo of the Gentile Polo Art Studio. On April 5th we are waiting for you at 6.00 pm to celebrate with us the historic event of the thirtieth anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall with the artistic event Il Muro al muro (The Berlin Wall banned)! Come and shoot down the Wall at Thun Palace (Palazzo Thun) in Trento (Italy) with us and to toast with the protagonists and the excellent Teroldego D.O.C. offered at the event by the wine farm Azienda Agricola BETTA LUIGINO of Mezzocorona city and the Contemporary Art! (Photo: label created by the artist Gentile Polo for the historical event "Il Muro al muro" of April 05).   The commemorative artistic event "Il Muro al muro" (The Berlin Wall banned), organized with the collaboration of the Event Art Cultural Association and friend Alenis Lauri, thanks to its historical, social and artistic importance, has obtained the patronage of the Municipality of Trento (Italy) and will continue its exhibition in the splendid rooms of Thun Palace (Palazzo Thun), in the centre of city, until April 21st 2019, with hours: 10 - 12.00 / 16. - 19.00.
