I live ... attached to life, beyond my wall

I Live   Attached to life ... i love what i touch, I also love breathing and how much I can see, from inside and outside. It's all one color, looking over my wall. So I love it. (Gentile Polo, "Thoughts ... an uphill road", Edizioni Aletti, Rome 2017).     Attached to life ... Like Giuseppe Ungaretti (Alexandria of Egypt, 8 February 1888 - Milan, 01 June 1970) in "Vigil" he expressed his wonder in the powerful feeling of attachment to life as a reaction to death that lay beside him in the garb of his comrade
"[...] I have never been much attached to life "
likewise astonishment invades the poet Gentile Polo as a reaction to the death of a great love. Beyond the wall of bodily death and of the soul there is all the pleasure in the life of the poets who in the silence of discovery to life turn their hearts to love:
"[...] in my silence I wrote letters full of love " (Giuseppe Ungaretti, "Vigil - Cima Quattro, December 23, 1915")
Love in Gentile Polo manifests itself in the full sensory and emotional rediscovery of touch, smell, sight and we also add the soul:
"[...] i love what i touch, I also love breathing and how much I can see, from inside and outside. "
Life suddenly appears to the author a kaleidoscope of bursting colors, as might appear to those who, for a long time in darkness, do not remember the beauty of the world when it is illuminated by the sun of life, by joy. Both authors of the 1900s live their battles to the full, the First World War for Ungaretti and the painful divorce from his wife for the artist Gentile Polo and express themselves with free, immediate, contemporary verses. Only the punctuation marks the distance, absent in the historic poet to increase the speed and immediacy of the narrated, present in the artist Gentile Polo to dwell the reader on the rediscovered sensations that make him return to love life, like shining brushstrokes on the canvas of life.   The "I live" (Vivo) poetry of the author Gentile Polo is present in the volume "Thoughts ... an uphill road" (Pensieri ... una strada in salita) published by Aletti Editore (Rome) and is available for purchase both in paper format and in the e-book version, on Amazon and all the best platforms, including:
