Gentile Polo: the revealer of the secret negotiations between Daily life and ... Feeling

Gentile Polo's painting deals almost exclusively with single subjects. Seems to want to face loneliness at all costs. Precise and refined traits are carefully kept in the same chromatic ambit, not by chance I would define them "in tune" to create a non-random musical analogy. Polo does not require a scoop. While by tradition contemporary artists recall great "well-known" but terribly commercial European masters of our yesterday, Polo does not allow the viewer's gaze to find this connotation. If you really wanted, the hypothesis would touch two categories. The first, given and analyzed for example the works of the "dogs", could create an affinity with the studies of classical painters of three or four centuries ago.  (In photo: artwork "cagnolini on the edge" 2011 by Gentile Polo)   On the other hand, for works such as "Il camino" (The fireplace) or "La chiesetta di Val Non" (The small church of Non Valley), or, "La nuova ferraglia" (The new scrap) and with soft parallelism with the painters of Northern Europe. All this being broadly based, demonstrates how simplicity in technique and in the themes chosen by the author lead to success: originality. Original and simple. Polo brings a technique combined with intact, pure and safe background colors. A balanced solitude. Probably sought after. Serena. Faithful are the paintings "Il Brenta ai XII apostoli" (The Brenta mountain at XII apostles summit) and "La capretta ... materica" (The goat) made in mixed media.  (In photo: "Il Brenta ai XII apostoli" 2011 by Gentile Polo)   Extremely interesting in the field of analysis paintings like "Autumn" in which different colors and different subjects risk confusing the viewer or perhaps provoking him. But as always the Polo presents its unique subject, chosen to observe it in its healthy solitude in which case the wooden fence is accompanied by the shadow. That's exactly what Polo does. This intrinsic message to solitude. It conveys the serenity of solitude as it always places the character alongside something else; may be a shadow or, who knows, a color, or whatever. In the "Ferraglia, six knots come ..." chromatically confuses the viewer. Who is the main character? Yet the central subject is only one. Here is the way to present oneself and arouse emotions of the Polo, its original way of painting is original.   Art Criticism Monica Zaulovic 11/21/11, Italy Authorized http://www.monicazaulovic.it   NB: translation by Lucia Martorelli, the photos are by the artist Gentile Polo, the title and the critical text are original, provided to the artist by Monica Zaulovic,
