Geremia Palace hosts ... The big Mothers of Serra

"The great Mothers" of Antonello Serra are revealed in the atrium of Geremia Palace from 2 to 6 December 2019.     The Sardinian artist exhibits some of his correspondence from the cycle "Invisible Civilizations" which recovers and re-elaborates the symbols of the ancient Nuragic population. The symbols emerge from the correspondence with clear brushstrokes and backgrounds of colors that recall the Mother Earth: the blood of creation, the blue of the sea from which everything is born, intense shades of brown of the earth to which everyone returns. The exhibition "The Great Mothers" by Antonello Serra, as the exhibition of marble sculptures "The tales of the evening" by Michelangelo Galliano "in the atrium of the Provincial Palace, is one of the contemporary art events guest of the week that celebrates in Trentino the 2019 Family Festival. The Art Studio Gentile Polo attended the inauguration of the pictorial exhibition "The Great Mothers" presented by his colleague Lorenzo LO.ME Menguzzato and by the President of the cultural association Zampognaro lagaro from Pomarolo Attilio Gasperotti on Monday 2nd December. "A reverse archaeologist" was defined by Menguzzato, because while the specialist discovers the ancient, the artist takes up the ancient in a contemporary key.   (In photos: the master of the decorations art Gentile Polo and a painting of Serra).   Also present at the inauguration, in addition to the master decorator Gentile Polo, was Stefano Benedetti who edited the video that is the background to the exhibition, Barbara Cappello of the Fida Association - Trento who personally anticipated the organization of a personal exhibition scheduled for the month of October 2020 in addition to the second part of the FIDA Biennial which will take place in Bolzano in the spring. Other illustrious guests include the indefatigable Andrea Robol, always available to dialogue with the artists and to find out about their upcoming projects. To us at the Gentile Polo Art Studio, in addition to the compliments, he confided that unfortunately the funding for artistic events has been greatly reduced, so every event that can be privately organized is a breath of oxygen for our territory. The Sardinian Cultural Recreational Circle of Giuseppe Dessì could not miss the inauguration to support their fellow countryman Serra. The inauguration of the exhibition "The Great Mothers" saw as a musical background the bagpipe group of Pomarolo, who cheered up the audience in the hall with Christmas car anticipating the release of their new musical CD. The exhibition of pictorial correspondence in the atrium of Palazzo Geremia in Trento will be open until December 6th with free admission. We are waiting for you!
