The three-dimensional memory of Claudio Cavalieri

Claudio Cavalieri's Tridimensional Memory is on display at the Kunst Grenzen-Arte di frontiera Gallery in Rovere della Luna until 24 October!     With Memoria Tridimensionale, the Trentino artist Claudio Cavalieri wants to celebrate his 53 years of career as well as the achievement of his 70 years, showing an evolutionary path of his mainly sculptural art. The anthological event includes a selection of 50 mixed wooden works between sculptures and composite installations and, as in a self-respecting magical forest, the path winds through tiny creations almost "handbag" to tall totems, from the colors of the iris to the bitter sweet scent of wood ... The wood of his works is most often recycled material:
"It was ... in the Brazilian favelas that I began to recover waste material. I understood the value of recovery for the gesture of giving, of making art. I therefore chose wood because it is part of the Trentino soul" (Claudio Cavalieri)
The theme of the tree, recurring not only for the chosen material but also in the three-dimensional figuration, was primitive, instinctive and only after several years did he discover that the Tree of Life represents the unconscious desire for family and connection with everything ( their roots and the cosmos).   (In the photo, two moments of the inauguration of the anthological exhibition Memoria Tridimensionale by Claudio Cavalieri: from the left, Claudio Cavalieri introduces the event, on the right the President Kunst Grenzen-Arte di frontiera Mr. Gentile Polo and Mrs. Chiara Girardi, which presents the artistic criticism of the anthological path).   A large audience was present at the inauguration on Saturday 3 October who was able to preview the works and listen to the artistic criticism of Ms. Chiara Girardi, who replaced her Florentine colleague Roberta Fiorini who was unable to leave the region due to ministerial restrictions due to covid-19 pandemic. There were also many friends and colleagues who attended the inauguration, including the artists Letizia Jellici, Marianna Merler, Annamaria Adessi, Sarah Mutinelli, Antonello Serra, Stefano Benedetti, the watercolorist Ashley McRoncher, as well as the artist Gentile Polo. And then again the journalist Silvia Vernaccini, the poets Angelo Magro and Alberto Sighele, the owner and radio speaker Vito Nomade of Radio Music Trento.   (In the photo, two of the sculptures that you can admire at Claudio Cavalieri's Memoria Tridimensionale/Three-dimensional memory exhibition at Gentile Polo's private gallery Kunst Grenzen-Arte di frontiera).   The evening was organized thanks to the collaboration of the artist Gentile Polo, owner of the Kunst Grenzen-Arte di frontiera Gallery, the Municipality and the Pro Loco of Rovere della Luna, and the Gaierhof winery. At the end of the public evening, the artist's friends and the Kunst Grenzen-Arte di frontiera staff were able to gather for a convivial dinner at the local pizzeria "Da Germana". The Tridimensional Memory / Tridimensional Memory by Claudio Cavalieri will remain on display until 24 October 2020, from 15.00 to 19.00 every day, except Sunday and Monday for the weekly closing. For the entire duration of the event, the artist Claudio Cavalieri will hold a creative workshop open to the public. There are no participation costs, but RESERVATION (and mask) is required to allow the necessary anti-covid-19 ministerial security procedures.     INFO: claudiotn50@gmail.com - Claudio Cavalieri
