Artist's residency: Music, Art and Literature in dialogue at the Spazio Arte 121 in Madrano (Italy)

The three-day ARTIST'S RESIDENCE (original title: RESIDENZA D'ARTISTA) opens (10 - 11 - 12 September 2021) at Spazio Arte 121 in Madrano (Pergine Valsugana) where artists from Sardinia, Friuli - Venezia Giulia, Valle d'Aosta and Trentino will give life to an exchange dynamic of Art, Music, techniques, ideas and conviviality. Born from an idea of the Sardinian artist Antonello Serra, the project makes use of the collaboration of the Municipality of Pergine, the councilor for culture Mr. Betti Morgan, the mayor Mr. Roberto Oss Emer, the Pegoretti Group for the concession of the Spazio Arte 121 and the organizational help of the artist Mr. Mirko Dematté. Antonello Serra's "Artist's Residence" will be set in the historic Villa of Madrano which in the mullioned window of the south-west entrance shows the foundation date of 1514 and probably has Jewish origins from the Star of David inlaid in the restored wooden floor. During the three-day coexistence the artists will be able to create and interact freely in an immersive artistic environment of colors, music and poems with free improvisation; among the names who will perform we find the writer Mrs. Lia Giovanazzi Beltrami, Angelo Magro and Mugdin Cehaic for poetry, Alberto Beltrami and Michael Strom for the musical accompaniment, and there will be no lack of graphic videos projected by the artist Mr. Stefano Benedetti.

The artistic works created during the weekend of "Artist's Residence" in Madrano will have the honor of being commented on by the historian and art critic Arch. "In Il Giornale I kept the column The art of the suburbs. I traveled to find artists far from the centers of commerce and the sale of art who operated not to assert themselves, but because they were animated by a creative necessity. It is a problem today to get out of the imposed cage from the market because this needs continuity and coherence and an artist cannot be, at least not always. If you are not on artprice, for example, you do not exist and this is really aberrant. " (from "Maurizio Scudiero: the history of art is not a chest of drawers" by Allegra Baggio Corradi, in FRANZMAGAZINE, April 19, 2021).

Will the artists involved in the Madrano "Artist's Residence" project be able to achieve the objectives of an artist's house, to dialogue, share and influence each other to overcome their own limits? They will be able to demonstrate that they make art out of passion and not for the market, that they are not in the group that Scudiero himself defines as those who produce "... 'bullshit' or scandals designed just to get noticed, continuing to tear forward not knowing who they are. is, and also thinking of making ... art. " (ibid.) and grow as artists?
