Mexico in Rovere della Luna for "Dia de los muertos"

The Mexican “Feast of the Dead - Dia de los muertos” lands in Rovere della Luna from October 31st to November 5th in the private rooms of the Kunst Grenzen gallery - Frontier Art! The intercultural project is conceived and curated by the Mexican artist Guadalupe Zepeda who boasts an important curriculum: graduated in Visual Arts at the University of Art - Architecture and Design of Guadalajara UDG and founder in 2002 of the Frida Kahlo art school in her hometown of San Martin Texmelucan as well as having refined his artistic techniques at the Taller del Prado Art Academy in Madrid.   From 2021 he participates in the spirit Kunst Grenzen and, with the support of the association and the collaboration of the Technical School CETIS 17 of Puebla in Mexico and the Pro Loco of Rovere 'della Luna in the figure of Mr. Marco Gruber, he has realized the artistic project “Feast of the dead - Dia de los muertos”.
“The day of the dead in the indigenous vision of Mexico implies the transitory return home of the souls of the deceased to live with their loved ones and feed on the essence of the food that is offered to them on the altars dedicated to them. In this celebration, death does not represent an absence but a living presence; death is a symbol of life that materializes in the offered altar. In this sense, it is a celebration that is of great popular importance since it contains various meanings, from the philosophical to the material. "
For the occasion, the artists Annamaria Adessi, Andrea Alen, Luciana Zecchini, Paola Gabrielli, Sarah Mutinelli, Sandro Ramani, Margaret Nella, Livio Lopedote, Alenis Lauri, Alberto Sighele, Lucia Sardagna, Guadalupe Zepeda and Yohanna Santos put themselves to the test in the pictorial representation and not only by choosing one of the four typical circles of the Mexican celebration: the MICTLAN governed by natural elements, the TLALOCAN where the lord of water and fertility reigns, the CHICHIHUACALCO or Children's Paradise and the TONATIUHICHAN or House of the reserved sun to the warriors.   As Professor Joel Antonio Pacheco explained at the inauguration of the "Feast of the Dead - Dia de los muertos" event, for Mexicans it is not important how you live but how you reach the end of your life cycle: if for natural cycle we go to Mictlan, if due to natural disasters in Tlalocan, children or women not yet mothers in the Chichihuacalco paradise with the possibility of being reborn to new life, or as warriors or childbirth they would arrive in the House of the Sun as a representation of a Mexican Eden. Do not forget the detail that while in the West the memory of those who passed away is celebrated, for the Mexican celebrations (and recognized by the Church) the dear departed can instead return as a spirit to visit us in these days and celebrate the time spent together. to his family, guided by the scent and petals of the bright marigold flowers that are scattered in abundance by the entire population to their home.   The Mexican tradition also plans to soften the atmosphere of the "Feast of the dead - Dia de los muertos" with ironic poems about death, as well as the project "Feast of the dead - Dia de los muertos" at the Kunst Grenzen in Rovere della Luna is enriched from the literature sector thanks to the poetic works of Angelo Magro, Hugo Osvaldo Rosete Arroyo (student of the CETIS 17 High School of Puebla, Mexico), Emilia Marini, Roberto Marino, Mugdin Cehaic, Celestina Avanzini, Carmen Gesmundo.
