Walter Salin ... and his guitar among the magical atmospheres of Bruno Munari at the Kunst Grenzen Gallery


Walter Salin ... and his guitar will perform exclusively at the Kunst Grenzen gallery in Rovere della Luna on Sunday 1 October from 6.30 pm among the works "Tribute to Bruno Munari" that artists from Visioni Altri Venezia and Kunst Grenzen - Frontier Art have created in honor of the great master of Italian and international design.    
Walter Salin, after classical and law studies, graduated in guitar at the Bolzano Conservatory with E. Padovani, prestigious heir to the guitar school of Andres Segovia, Maria Luisa Anido, Emilio Pujol and Ida Presti, and carries out concert activity in Europe as a soloist, accompanied by the orchestra (Filarmonici di Trento, Camerata di Arco, Youth Orchestra of the Bolzano Conservatory), in chamber ensembles and in 1996 he played on tour with the famous guitarist Alirio Diaz who defined him as "a splendid partner". He has performed various world premieres of contemporary music pieces dedicated to him by various Italian composers including Maestros Chiesa, Grisi, Amitrano, Giavina, Resch and also his own works (Paris, Cologne, Rome, Antwerp, Munich, Bratislava, Bucharest, Venice, Geneva...) and on the Spanish national radio, and in 2014, 2015 and 2016 his compositions were awarded at the Città di Favria International Guitar Composition Competition. Salin taught at the Masterclasses of the Music Academy of Bratislava alongside Abel Carlevaro, of Conegliano as assistant to Carlos Bonell, at the guitar laboratories of Novacella and Merano, he was artistic director of the International Classical Guitar Festival of Bolzano and since 2010 of the festival national guitar The workshop of the art of sounds and the international music festival at Palazzo Baisi. In 2011 it was included in Herrera's World Dictionary. He has recorded for RAI national networks and for cinema and collaborated with Arnoldo Foà, Gino Bramieri, Alessandro Quasimodo, Riccardo Cucciola and Luca Tironzelli, accompanying them in theatrical pieces and melodies including a re-edition of Jesus Crhist Superstar. He directed and participated in recitals and music-theater-dance shows collaborating with Vittorio Storaro in the film Mirka (Cast: G. Depardieu, F. Nero. V. Redreeve, B. Bobulova) and with Liliana Cavani in the fiction on Degasperi alongside the actor Fabrizio Gifuni. Since 1998 Walter has also worked with his 3 children in various formations (Salin Ensemble, Elfika's Dream, Duo Salin, Duo Pop-Barock) with which he produces shows and concerts of Renaissance, ethnic-pop and classical music and produces Renaissance pop barok songs.   The event “Walter Salin … and his guitar” will take place as part of the inauguration of the art exhibition “Tribute to Bruno Munari” on Sunday 1 October 2023 from 6.30 pm at the Kunst Grenzen gallery in Rovere della Luna, with free entry, and is organized by the cultural association Kunst Grenzen – Frontier Art aps in collaboration with the Municipality and Pro Loco of Rovere della Luna, Cassa Rurale Val di Non Rotaliana and Giovo – RdL branch.
