Norwich City Manager Dean Smith Sacked

Despite a positive start to the season, Norwich City have struggled to maintain their momentum. They have won only four of their last 15 matches, and have suffered seven defeats in their last 12 league games. The Canaries occupy the fifth position in the table, but remain only a couple of points behind the automatic promotion places.

Smith joined Norwich from Aston Villa, where he guided the club to the Championship and Carabao Cup finals. He was appointed in November and took charge of the Canaries a few days later. During his time in charge, the Canaries won four of their first fourteen league matches, and lost only one. This led many to expect Norwich to challenge for promotion. But a poor run of form has seen them fall away from the top two and into the play-offs.

After the defeat at home to Blackburn, which saw the Canaries playing against ten men, Dean Smith faced a torrent of criticism from supporters. One fan allegedly threatened to leave the stadium, while another chanted, “We want Deano out!” Earlier, Smith had appeared to blame the fans for the defeat.

It is unclear what caused the change of direction for Smith. It is believed that Delia Smith, the club’s majority shareholder, made the decision to sack him. She was unhappy with his performance, and decided to make a change. However, the club is yet to announce a new manager.

There have been reports of former Norwich captain Russell Martin being mooted as a possible replacement. But he could prove to be difficult to get out of his current role at Swansea. Other potential candidates include Kjetil Knutsen and Scott Parker.

Having spent the last 13 months in charge, Smith has been unable to lift the mood of the Canaries. Their recent form has left them just one point clear of the bottom two. With only three wins from their last 14 matches, he has been under severe pressure.

On Boxing Day, Norwich suffered a 2-1 loss at the hands of Luton Town. This proved to be the final straw for the team’s supporters, who were vocal in their demands for Smith to be sacked. In the 89th minute, Cauley Woodrow scored the goal that sealed the Canaries’ fate.

Ahead of the game against Reading, which takes place on Friday, Norwich will be looking to re-launch their campaign with a fresh start. They will have to find a new head coach who can lead the club to the top end of the table.

While the decision to sack Smith was a tough one for the club, it is a necessary move in order to get back on track. Hopefully, the new manager will be able to put the club back on the road to promotion. At the moment, the Canaries are only a point clear of the automatic promotion places, and are six points adrift of Burnley and Sheffield United, who are joint leaders.

Man Utd Plan 43m Gakpo Swoop In January, According To The Daily Mail

If you think the news that Man United are planning a 43 million swoop for Gakpo in January is a bit of a red herring, then think again. In addition to United’s interest in signing Pulisic, the paper suggests that Gakpo isn’t the only big name that is on their shopping list. They’ve also been linked with Memphis Depay.

United are’showing interest’ in signing Pulisic

The latest big name to get linked with a move to Manchester United is Christian Pulisic. The American is a key figure in the United Men’s National Team’s qualification for the FIFA World Cup in Qatar, and is also enjoying a bit-part role at Chelsea.

Pulisic has scored 21 goals for the USMNT. However, he has not started any matches for Chelsea this season.

The 25-year-old has made 51 appearances for the national team, and he is currently on loan at Bundesliga side RB Leipzig. The player is reportedly a good backup option for Chelsea, but he may not be keen on joining a rival club.

The player has not started a single match for Chelsea this season, but has played 30 minutes in both games. He has also played three matches in the Premier League this season.

United are’undecided’ as to where that leaves Gakpo

Gakpo has caught the attention of many in the football world with his youthful, energetic and impressive game. Having played as a winger for club and country, he has impressed at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar, scoring three goals in five matches.

His impressive goal record for PSV has led to an increased value and his fanciful transfer to Manchester United has become a real possibility. Although the Dutch side have already made a demand for EUR60m, there is a possibility that United could pay the required amount and get Gakpo in January.

During his time with PSV, Gakpo has netted 13 times in 24 appearances. He has also played in the Netherlands national team, scoring three goals in five games. He has also featured for the UEFA Champions League, netting twice. His performance for the Netherlands at the World Cup has been equally impressive.

United’s doubts about Gakpo are a warning sign

There has been plenty of speculation about whether Manchester United will be able to land Cody Gakpo in the coming weeks. The PSV forward has been in great form this season, scoring three goals in four games and assisting seven more. This has led to his becoming a target for several clubs.

In the summer, there were reports that Manchester United had held talks with PSV. However, it appears that the Dutch side is not interested in selling. Instead, they have a demand for a big fee.

As for Man Utd, there are a few reasons to be cautious when it comes to signing Gakpo. First, Louis van Gaal has not been keen on playing with wingers. As a result, there is a risk that he might end up being lost in the system.

United have moved on to other targets like Gakpo and Memphis Depay

Manchester United have made moves to sign strikers in the summer. But they have also flirted with other targets, like Cody Gakpo and Memphis Depay.

Gakpo has been an impressive player for PSV Eindhoven this season. He has scored nine goals in the domestic season, and has also starred for the Netherlands at the World Cup. The 22-year-old has also impressed in the group stage of the Europa League.

He was expected to be a major signing for Manchester United, but the club opted to go with Antony Martinez instead. They are now reportedly interested in signing Memphis Depay. This would be a more affordable move than trying to sign Gakpo. However, it is worth noting that this could be a shock move for the Red Devils.

United have agreed PS85m and PS57m deals with Ajax for Antony and Lisandro Martinez

Man Utd have made a PS85m deal for Ajax’s right winger Antony and the Argentinian’s brother Lisandro. The pair were tipped to make the move after the Dutch club rejected a number of high profile bids. They are expected to join fellow Argentinian Alejandro Garnacho at Old Trafford.

The transfer is the latest in a series of moves that have seen United sign Tyrell Malacia and Phil Jones, while a number of other fringe players have been linked to the club. The club are also reportedly in talks with Villarreal over a possible Pau Torres switch.

Ajax have a wealth of assets at their disposal, and a number of their best players are looking to make big money from them. The Dutch giants have already sold Ryan Gravenberch to Bayern Munich and Sebastien Haller to Dortmund. They have also raised funds through the sales of other first team players. They are looking to make a substantial profit on the likes of Lisandro and Antony.

James Cameron Gets Honest About Why Terminator: Dark Fate Didn’t Work

Among the plethora of criticisms about Terminator: Dark Fate are two major concerns. The first is that the film re-sets the events of the first two films. The other is that Arnold Schwarzenegger’s character feels like an afterthought.

Arnold Schwarzenegger’s character feels like an afterthought

Having played the role of the T-800 in the previous two installments of the franchise, Arnold Schwarzenegger is back in Terminator: Dark Fate. However, his return feels like a afterthought.

Rather than reviving the franchise as was done with Terminator 2: Judgment Day, Dark Fate retreads the story and structure of the original. It attempts to recapture the awe-inspiring thrills of the original movie with new characters, but fails to deliver on any real surprises.

Although the action scenes in Dark Fate are spectacular, they aren’t as kinetic or awe-inspiring as those found in the “Journal of the Death Star” or “The Force Awakens”. They feel more like throwbacks to the Cameron directed Terminator movies.

The other major “T-Mirror” event in Dark Fate is the arrival of Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton) to the present. This is an intriguing plot point that would have been better off in the earlier films. But the character has a limited role. The conceit of Sarah catching the T-1000 in the future and bringing him to the present seems a little bit gimmicky.

Resetting the events of the first two films

Several different versions of the Terminator have been filmed. This includes a direct sequel, a remake, and a non-canon movie. It has also produced supplementary material, including comic book crossovers, video games, and novels.

The original 1984 film by James Cameron starts with Arnold Schwarzenegger’s killer cyborg. It also features a prologue that reveals the events of the second film.

The first movie was a box office success, though the second film performed less well with critics. After Terminator 2, director James Cameron left the franchise.

The franchise went on to make several sequels that did not live up to the first two films. The latest entry, Terminator: Dark Fate, re-invents the Terminator story and introduces new characters.

The Terminator series has a confusing timeline. It uses time-displacement equipment, but the movies never actually show that it works. Some films have shown the process going awry.

The Terminator has been sent back in time to kill Sarah Connor when she was a child. In an attempt to stop him, John and his team infiltrate the Skynet base. They eventually manage to defeat the cyborg, but they lose a T-800 model along the way.

The Abyss is a masterpiece

Despite its shortcomings, Manilla Road’s latest album, Out of the Abyss, is an enjoyable metal record. With a variety of vocal styles, it’s not quite as heavy as their previous albums, but it’s an intense record that’s also well played. It’s a good addition to their legacy of some of the greatest metal bands in the history of American music.

“Whitechapel” opens the album on a high note. The song features a unique, sinister vocal style and clean guitar passages. Eventually, the lyrics turn into a distortion-laden song. It’s one of the best songs on the album.

“War in Heaven” features an epic song about battles between deities. The vocal tone is gravelly and raspy. The lyrics are a blend of archaic Hebrew and modern physics. It’s a classic of atmospheric black metal.

The rest of the album is a mix of fast tracks and songs with an epic quality. There are some great guitars, but it’s not as pronounced as the band’s earlier work.

It’s a massive, ridiculously expensive CGI spectacle

‘Terminator: Dark Fate’ is not an ideal movie. The film attempts to retell the original story, but with a different cast. The Terminator franchise has not drawn a passionate audience for its larger-than-life blockbusters.

James Cameron is the man behind the Terminator franchise. After Terminator 2: Judgment Day, he left the series. But now he’s coming back with a sequel. This time, he’s producing the film with Deadpool director Tim Miller. He’s also reuniting with Linda Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger.

The film is expected to come out on October 23. It’s being distributed in North America by Paramount Pictures. However, it’s still unclear whether it will be a hit. The movie has been criticized for being too dark. Some critics say that it lacks the “soul” of the original films.

Some fans were concerned that this new installment was not the return to form they had hoped for. The Terminator franchise has struggled since Judgment Day in 1991. There have been many disappointments along the way.

Four Simple Steps to Keep a Cantilever Umbrella From Blowing Over

Having a cantilever umbrella is a great way to add shade to your patio or deck. However, if you are not careful, you could end up with a disaster. The umbrella could blow over and leave you with a hole in your patio. Here are four simple steps to help keep your cantilever umbrella from blowing over.

Adjust the ribs

Whether you’re looking to add a new feature to your patio or simply want to replace the umbrella’s canopy, there are a few ways to adjust the ribs to keep a cantilever umbrella from blowing over. The number of ribs on your umbrella will determine how sturdy it is. Generally, more ribs means that your umbrella will be able to withstand wind.

The ribs on an umbrella work together with a ringed mechanism to hold the canopy in place. In most cases, the ribs are made of a flexible fiberglass material. However, metal and wood ribs are also available. Depending on the type of umbrella, these ribs may be located on the bottom, side or top of the umbrella.

Some cantilever umbrellas have a lever mechanism that allows the user to tilt the canopy to shade an adjacent area. Some also feature a crank-lift system. These are simple to use, and allow the user to adjust the weight of the umbrella.

Cantilever umbrellas can also be adjusted by raising the canopy to less than full height. However, they do require a base to hold them in place. The base is usually made of a heavy-duty wood block or steel base frame. These bases start at around 100 pounds, and come in various sizes.

Anchor it with weight

Adding weight to an umbrella base can make it more stable and decrease the chance of it blowing over in high winds. However, you should still take extra precautions when using your umbrella. This will ensure the safety of you and your family, as well as your belongings.

If your umbrella doesn’t come with weights, you can purchase wind stabilizers to help stabilize it. These simple pieces of bungee cord can be attached to the frame of your umbrella and help keep it in place. Alternatively, you can also use sandbags or other weights.

Adding weight to the base of your cantilever umbrella will keep it from blowing over in high winds. Depending on the weight, you may need to put one, two, or even three sandbags onto the base. However, you should always ensure that the weights are of a high quality and that they are large enough to cover the entire base.

Most people don’t have to unmount their umbrellas when the wind picks up. However, if you do live in an area where it is common for high winds, then you may want to take extra precautions. If you’re unable to secure your umbrella in place, then you may need to consider unmounting it.

Place it on the edge of a seating area

Keeping a cantilever umbrella from flying over your head isn’t the easiest of tasks. The good news is that there are a few ways to go about it. The most obvious and arguably the most effective is to install a floor mounted umbrella base. The best part is that you don’t have to sacrifice your poolside clearance to do so.

The next best thing is to purchase a cantilever umbrella base specifically made for your model. There are several options on the market, but make sure to ask the sales associate what kind of umbrella you’re looking at. Some brands are made of steel while others are made of hard plastic shells filled with heavy sand. You’ll also want to be sure to buy a base that is from the same manufacturer as your umbrella. If you do decide to go the floor mounted route, make sure to do a thorough inspection before putting your investment to work. This is especially true if you live in a windy locale. Aside from keeping your umbrella from flying over your head, you may have a difficult time getting it to do the oh-so-common mishap.

Aside from the umbrella, a proper sized patio or deck is a must if you want to enjoy your patio or deck to the fullest. However, if you live in a windy corner of the country, you may have to do a bit of re-staging to keep your umbrella from taking flight.

SWPL Round-Up: Celtic Beat Hearts; Glasgow City Hold Rangers; Dundee United Win SWPL

Among other things, the SWPL round-up looks at Celtic’s impressive win over Hearts, Glasgow City’s strong performance against Rangers and Dundee United’s first ever SWPL win. Plus, we look at the attendance boost that has followed the SWPL’s rebranding.

Glasgow City hold Rangers

Despite two defeats and a draw, Rangers remain top of the Scottish Premiership table. However, Glasgow City are level on points and are only two points behind Celtic. The two clubs will face off at Tynecastle on Saturday. A win will leave Celtic second.

Rangers took the lead from the off, but Hearts fought back and equalised on 70 minutes. The match was dominated by the wind and the artificial surface made ball control difficult.

The Celtic Women were in a similar predicament and despite being on the back foot they beat Hearts 3-0. They were aided by an impressive display from captain Hayley Lauder. Her set-pieces were the key to the victory.

Glasgow City have been strong all season but their performance was not as good. They only picked up two wins and a draw from their first six league matches. They will hope to build on the momentum after the international break.

The Rangers pushed for the winner. They also had chances. In the first half, Joe Hart made some excellent saves to keep the score at 0-0. But they were unable to take the lead and the game ended scoreless.

Celtic beat Hearts

Despite their impressive record, Hearts were unable to break Celtic’s winning run in the Scottish league last week. The pair of teams met in the SWPL round-up on Sunday, with Celtic winning a close match 4-1.

Hearts had been in fourth place in the table at the start of the game, two points behind Glasgow City and Rangers. They also were tied on points with Spartans. But the Spartans were able to draw 2-2 against Partick Thistle. The Spartans have climbed above Hearts into the eighth position.

Hibs have been in a bit of a injury crisis this season, and were unable to break Hearts’ defence. Nevertheless, they were able to create chances. When Lia Tweedie shot from a one-on-one with the keeper, she failed to find the net. However, Hearts did score through a long range effort by Kathleen McGovern.

Celtic started the game strongly, and after five minutes, Celtic had the lead. Celtic won a penalty in the third minute.  The Celtic keeper saved Heather Pullar’s spot kick. The Celtic supporters celebrated.

Dundee United pick up first SWPL win

Despite losing to Hamilton Academical in their opening game of the season, Dundee United picked up their first Scottish Women’s Premier League win of the season by defeating Spartans. A second goal from Ryan Edwards, and a brilliant delivery from Edwards and Eamonn Bannon, saw United win the game.

After a goalless first half, Dundee United picked up the pace in the second half. A swift counter-attack saw United’s first goal. Eamonn Bannon scored the winner after an excellent delivery from Stephen Kelly.

After the break, Dundee United continued to look for the goal. Jermaine Hylton had a shot saved by Benjamin Siegrist. Jacynta Galabadaarachchi was also saved by the keeper. Ultimately, the United failed to score a goal from a penalty kick.

Celtic had their own chances. Clarissa Larisey scored a hat-trick, and Siobhan Hunter was sent off late on. Emma Craig also came close to scoring.

Dundee United had ten chances in the first fifteen minutes. However, it wasn’t until the 73rd minute that United scored. A swift counter-attack led to a goal from Edwards.

Attendance boost follows rebranding of the SWPL

Managing director Fiona McIntyre says she’s “thrilled” with the attendance figures after the first week of the SWPL’s rebranding. She also said clubs should be aware of the opportunities to grow their audiences.

The league’s revamp saw the division split into two sections, allowing the top six teams to play each other once. The bottom six clubs then competed against each other once, with the top club crowned league champion.

The new league has seen attendance increase following England’s success in Euro 2022. Last week, the league saw its largest opening weekend attendances since records began. The Broadwood Stadium saw the largest attendance, with 720 fans watching Rangers beat Glasgow Women by 14-0. The next game saw Glasgow City play Spartans at Petershill Park. The game was a hammering for Spartans, who lost 7-0.

Other clubs have also seen increases in attendance following the rebranding. East Fife travel to SWPL 2 newcomers Gartcairn and Montrose travel to Stirling University.
