Autel TS508 Cannot Work on 2021 Ford Escape Hybrid

Problem: The Autel MaxiTPMS TS508 will not work on my 2021 Ford Escape Hybrid. It does not trigger the sensors in the wheels if I set it to 2021(315MHz) which is the correct year and frequency. I updated the software already.

These are the OE sensors on my snow tires, that I cannot trigger and do a relearn and are causing the TPMS light to come on. While these are the OE sensors on my summer tires. They work fine and don’t need to relearn. When these tires are on the vehicle, the TPMS light is off.

It there anything I can try to make this work?




Solution
The client needs to activate the OE sensors with Autel TS508 according to the following menu, and then perform Test Drive.

Please park the car for about 15-20 minutes after the sensor programming and then perform automatic relearn.

Test Drive:
Turn off the ignition and then turn on the ignition. If an instructed test drives the vehicle for 10 minutes over 19 miles per hour or 30km/h to ensure the TPMS malfunction light no longer displays the sensor ID that has been written to the ECU. Autel TS508 will automatically erase the DTC present in the ECU.

Shutdown Operation

The Engine Electronic Fuel System will shutdown on the actuation on any one of the following:
– Emergency Stop (E-kill)
– Engine Overspeed (10-15% over max. Engine no load speed)
– High Engine Coolant Temperature (225 deg F)
– High Exhaust Gas Temperature (379 deg F)
– Low Engine Lube Oil Pressure (below 20 Psi)

Stopping the Engine
(1). Standard shutdowns not involving hazardous conditions will be performed by pressing the Engine Stop button.
(2). Emergency shutdown is achieved by pressing the Emergency Stop button.
→The Emergency Stop is activated via the red mushroom shaped button on the Engine control panel. The system operates by closing the Engine air intake flap (Air Shutoff Valve) and directly disabling the fuel injection circuit (Injection Disabled). (3). Automatic shutdown is by:
a). Engine Overspeed

→The safety system is calibrated to the Engine’s normal maximum speed. If this figure is subsequently exceeded by 10-15%, the Engine will be shutdown by closing the air inlet valve (Air Shutoff Valve) and removing the fuel supply to the Fuel Injectors through the ECM (Injection Disabled).

b). High Engine Coolant Temperature

PIWIS 3 Coding Retrofit and Feature Request

I had been looking for a shop to enable the Mirror Tilt in Reverse. I was quoted $1500 for parts and labor and there was no guarantee for success. I started looking at coding this myself. Credit to rnls_log for helping my out and providing the tool to accomplish this. He helped me almost 20 years ago with the BMW coding. Let’s share our knowledge and save some money for other mods. I’ll start by sharing my Mirror Tilt in Reverse coding by Piwis 3. Settings are in the Kombi and Tuer Vorne Left and Right modules
