Sleep can be monitored with a smartphone or numerous wearables. The smart pillow from ZEEQ could be interesting for those who don’t want to leave the mobile device lying next to them while they sleep or don’t want to wear anything on their wrist.
The pillow isn’t just there to soften your head, it can also play music while you lie on it, monitor your sleep, or wake you up in the morning taking into account your sleep phases.
It should also help against snoring. The developers have equipped the Smart Pillow with a microphone for this purpose. If the pillow detects snoring noises, it vibrates slightly to encourage you to change your position without waking up.
The pillow can be connected (probably via Bluetooth) to the smartphone and analyze and display your data like your snoring value via an app. The app will be available for iOS and Android.
The Smart Pillow can currently be ordered via Kickstarter. ZEEQ has already exceeded its targeted funding target of $50,000. The campaign is still running for 44 days.
Early Birds can currently buy the pillow for 129 dollars. The Early Bird package for couples with two pillows costs 289 dollars. For families there is still a package with four pillows for 599 dollars.
