CES 2019: the LG Signature is the first roll-up OLED TV set

At CES 2019, LG Signature presented the very first roll-up television set. This OLED display can be fully extended to look like a conventional TV or wrapped in its base. Flat-panel displays have long since become more popular. In recent years, they have often seen their size increase and, with this, the space they occupy. Seeing a large black screen hide an entire wall can be quite unsightly. LG has just presented a brilliant original solution. The very first OLED display capable of hiding in its base when it is turned off. Demonstration in video below.

LG Signature: a screen that winds up in its base

Called LG Signature, this television set actually offers 3 different formats. Fully released, the Korean manufacturer's TV looks like any conventional OLED TV with a rigid screen. It can be completely wrapped in its base and then only appear as a classic sound bar. Finally, only part of the screen can be scrolled down to display information. A real breakthrough that should delight those who don't like to see the volume occupied by their TV when it is turned off. Note that the LG Signature is not a prototype but a product that will soon be available on the market. LG mentioned that this 65-inch television will be launched later this year. However, no price information was provided by the South Korean TV giant. However, various specialists expect a particularly high bill, suggesting a range between 8,000 and 15,000 euros.
