SINOSSI del Film:
Sophie a sei anni rimane tragicamente orfana, la tutela viene assegnata alla zia Annabelle, praticamente un’estranea. Le due si trasferiscono in una grande, misteriosa casa vittoriana dove Sophie dissotterra una scatola di legno chiusa con uno strano simbolo disegnato sopra. Nel disperato tentativo di connettersi con sua nipote, Annabelle apre la serratura rivelando una bellissima scatola musicale. Ogni volta che il carillon viene ferito e riprodotto, la melodia sorprendentemente agghiacciante suona leggermente più a lungo, accattivando ancora di più Sophie. Quando la scatola musicale inizia a influenzare il comportamento e la salute di Sophie, Annabelle cerca l’aiuto di uno psicologo infantile e chiaroveggente che scopre presto che il carillon è posseduto da uno spirito malvagio che cerca di perseguitare Sophie e distruggere Annabelle.
