Palermo, 25 mag.- (Adnkronos) - Aumentano del 25 per cento le rapine agli esercizi commerciali e del 24 per cento gli scippi a Palermo. Una conseguenza della grave crisi finanziaria che sta vivendo il paese? Chissa'. Fatto sta che sono aumentate le rapine seriali, quelle da venti-trenta euro e che il Questore di Palermo, Nicola Zito, chiama 'rapine-bancomat' perche' "nell'arco di un mese rendono non piu' di mille euro". Dimuniscono invece le rapine alle banche (-7 per cento).
Sono, inoltre, in diminuizione a Palermo e provincia le denunce per estorsione, cosi' come gli incendi e i danneggiamenti, che toccano rispettivamente quota 246 e 5.317 nell'arco di un anno, facendo registrare un meno 13 per cento e un meno 9 per cento rispetto al 2011. Dati e numeri sono stati snocciolati dal Questore di Nicola Zito nel corso di una conferenza stampa in cui ha presentato le celebrazioni del 160esimo anniversario della Fondazione della Polizia che si terra' domani anche a Palermo.

"Domani non sara' una festa - dice il Questore Zito - ma un momento di attenzione, doprattutto dopo il vile attentato di Brindisi costato la vita a una studentessa". (Segue)
