Almost two weeks after its opening, Ninoy Aquino International Airports Terminal 3 is beginning to get its share of complaints. The Flight Information Display System, which keeps track of arriving and departing flights, is not yet working, so passengers have to be assisted by ground personnel. Lack of equipment in the cargo is causing a delay in the release of baggage, as the NAIA 3 baggage software has yet to be used. And worst of all, domestic flights are delayed for up to 6 hours. Others who are tired of waiting for their flight have no choice but to camp out at the departure area. The Manila International Airport Authority admitted its people are still getting used to the new terminal. Many of its areas are still not in operation, and even pilots are familiarizing their way around the concourse. Parang bagong lipat ka ng bahay o bago ang business, hindi pa perfect ang proseso, said MIAA Asst. Gen. Manager for Corporate Affairs Tirso Serrano. Cebu Pacific cancels flights Meanwhile, Cebu Pacific, the main tenant at the terminal, on Saturday has cancelled 6 domestic turn-around flights due to extended maintenance on the landing gear of one aircraft which affected other flights as well. The airline has taken various measures to address the needs of affected passengers. In a text message, Cebu Pacific explained that some of its flights were delayed because of the extended maintenance of one of its aircrafts. The MIAA meanwhile is asking passengers for more patience, as it is still streamlining the airport's processes. Joey Villarama, ABS-CBN News
