Andrew Babala Honored as a Finalist in This Year’s K’NEXpert Building Contest

Glenmoore, PA Six Year-Old to be awarded $1,000 Savings Bond from K’NEX Brands

Hatfield, PA (Vocus) November 18, 2010

K’NEX Brands,focused on building worlds kids love, has chosen Andrew Babala as one of seven finalists in the . The nationwide building contest asks kids ages 5-12 to submit original designs made entirely out of K’NEX pieces. Andrew is six years-old and lives with his parents in Glenmoore, PA.

Andrew won in the 5-6 year-old category for his creation named K’NEX Skeeball Game with Ball Return – a working skeeball game created entirely from K’NEX.

This year, three Grand Prize winners and seven finalists were chosen from three age categories.In addition to Andrew, six other finalists will each be awarded a $1,000 U.S. Savings Bond to be put toward their college education. The three Grand Prize winners will each receive a $10,000 U.S. Savings Bond for college.

“The K’NEXpert contest is the highlight of our year,” said K’NEX President Michael Araten. “K’NEX fans consistently surpass our expectations with their creativity and innovation, building elaborate works of art that wow even our toy designers,” he said.
