Governo, Renzi: con Letta ho un rapporto leale
FIRENZE (Reuters) - Il sindaco di Firenze Matteo Renzi ha detto oggi di sostenere lealmente il governo di Enrico Letta nel suo sforzo di fare riforme essenziali per l'Italia.
"Enrico Letta è il presidente del consiglio, chi vuol bene all'Italia fa il tifo perché finalmente chi governa faccia le cose che da vent'anni gli italiani aspettano. Io faccio il tifo perché le cose finalmente si facciano", ha detto Renzi a margine di un evento a Firenze.
Renzi ha incontrato ieri a palazzo Chigi Letta, che è anche vice segretario del Pd, in un faccia a faccia che per diversi quotidiani ha riguardato il futuro del loro partito, avviato al rinnovo della dirigenza prima del congresso del prossimo autunno.
Il sindaco di Firenze è un possibile candidato alla segreteria del partito, ora affidata alla "reggenza" di Guglielmo Epifani, ma c'è da mettere a punto il meccanismo delle primarie per eleggere i nuovi vertici prima del congresso.
"Con Enrico Letta ho un rapporto innanzitutto improntato a un concetto che in politica non va molto di moda, ma al quale io credo molto che è la lealt nell'amicizia. Da questo punto di vista sono valori che per noi ovviamente hanno un grandissimo significato", ha aggiunto Renzi.
