Firenze: inaugurata la 'Kennedy house' per attivisti digitali
Firenze, 17 mag. - (Adnkronos) - E' stato inaugurato oggi a Firenze il primo luogo dove gli attivisti digitali di tutto il mondo possono incontrarsi personalmente, scambiare competenze e confrontare esperienze: e' la 'RFK International House of Human Rights'. L'International House e' ospitata nella struttura de 'Le Murate', l'ex carcere recuperato di recente dal Comune di Firenze e trasformato da un luogo di reclusione e sofferenza in uno spazio di apertura, speranza e cambiamento. L'edificio ospita gli uffici del 'Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice and Human Rights Europe', l'unica sede fuori dagli Usa del Centro istituita per promuovere i diritti umani globali e per onorare la memoria del Senatore, presieduta dalla figlia, Kerry Kennedy, che oggi ha inaugurato la struttura insieme al sindaco Matteo Renzi.
La struttura e' dotata di dodici camere della 'RFK International House of Human Rights', due sale per incontri e esposizioni, oltre alle stanze dello staff, ed e' proprio in questi spazi che verranno accolti e ospitati gruppi di 'digital activist', attivisti che si sono distinti per il loro ruolo nella difesa dei diritti umani soprattutto attraverso l'utilizzo dei nuovi strumenti digitali, offrendo le piu' aggiornate conoscenze e i piu' avanzati strumenti disponibili per migliorarne le capacita' operative nonche' la sicurezza e protezione.
