LIBYA: David Cameron and Nicolas Sarkozy expected in Libya

REUTERS - French President Nicolas Sarkozy and British Prime Minister David Cameron are expected Thursday in Libya, where they will deliver a speech in Benghazi before reaching Tripoli, on Wednesday confirmed a source close to the Libyan National Transitional Council (CNT).

France and Britain have been at the forefront of the international coalition that supported the insurgency militarily since March against the regime of Muammar Gaddafi.

French President had announced earlier this month that he would go to Libya when the leaders of the CNT would be located in Tripoli, which is the case since the beginning of this week.

The Elysee has so far refused to confirm this trip but recalled that the head of state said he would go to Libya "when all conditions are met."
