The New Mexico Lobos NFL Pro Day was special, in more regards than one.

Two specialteams players, kicker Greg Rivara and long snapper Evan Jacobsen, stood out.

Jacobsen, a 6foot1, 246pounder from Laguna Niguel, Calif., was a surprise (well, maybe not to him) No. 1 in the bench press with 27 repetitions at 225 pounds.

Rivara, who came to UNM from Albuquerque St. Pius X High School by way of New Mexico Highlands University, hit a 60yard field goal and several from 55 yards out as Arizona Cardinals scout Josh Scobey looked on.

Most other times, heights and distances achieved Thursday by 15 former Lobo football players were not disclosed.
