On May 10, 2001, two men broke into a midtown Manhatten apartment located above the famous Carnegie Deli with full intention of robbing its owner, Jennifer Stahl, a former actress who become a high priced marijuana dealer.

Excellent article! I like the way you presented the facts of the case. When I lived in New York/ New Jersey, everyone knew there was a lot of crime. The media covered it in such a way that you only heard about the worst of it. When I later lived in Houston Texas, in 1981, you would have thought that there was more crime there because the media covered everything. When I went into the downtown area I kept a knife under my car seat. Never did I anywhere else do that, not even when going into Manhattan or Washington, DC.
