Roma, 22 mag. - (Adnkronos) - La crisi colpisce le famiglie e stravolge le abitudini di vita. Il potere d'acquisto delle famiglie e' diminuito nel 2012 del 4,8%, certifica l'Istat nel suo rapporto annuale. Si tratta, evidenzia, di "una caduta di intensita' eccezionale che giunge dopo un quadriennio caratterizzato da un continuo declino. A questo andamento hanno contribuito soprattutto la forte riduzione del reddito da attivita' imprenditoriale e l'inasprimento del prelievo fiscale".
Per far fronte al calo del reddito disponibile, le famiglie hanno ridotto dell'1,6% la spesa corrente per consumi: cio' corrisponde a una flessione del 4,3% dei volumi acquistati, la piu' forte dall'inizio degli anni Novanta. Parallelamente, e' diminuita la propensione al risparmio, che si attesta ormai su livelli sensibilmente inferiori rispetto a quella delle famiglie tedesche e francesi, piu' vicina alla propensione al risparmio del Regno Unito, tradizionalmente la piu' bassa d'Europa. Nel 2012 aumenta al 62,3% il numero di famiglie che hanno adottato strategie di riduzione della quantita' e/o qualita' dei prodotti alimentari acquistati (quasi nove punti percentuali in piu' rispetto all'anno precedente). Le (Parigi: - ) tipologie familiari che nel 2012 hanno modificato maggiormente i comportamenti di consumo alimentare in senso restrittivo sono le coppie con figli, le famiglie di monogenitori e le famiglie con membri aggregati (piu' del 64% di tali famiglie).
Nel 12,3% dei casi le famiglie scelgono per gli acquisti alimentari gli hard discount, soprattutto al Nord. Nel Mezzogiorno sale al 73% la quota di famiglie che riduce la quantita' e/o qualita' degli acquisti alimentari dal 65,2% del 2011. Al Nord tale strategia coinvolge il 55,5% delle famiglie (con un incremento di quasi 10 punti percentuali), al Centro il 61,8%.
