Fall flower wedding centerpieces
The Hoya plant is a tropical plant so it grows well in normal room temperatures (21 to 32 degrees Centigrade) or in lowland tropical temperatures. It can be planted in plastic or clay pots with any porous and low-fertility mixes such as a mixture of coconut husk cubes or coconut dust, charcoal, sphagnum moss, tree fern fiber, and paslak (chop
ped roots of Birds nest fern). The media should be well drained and open enough to allow the air to reach the roots. It is possible to replant it if the media breaks down or grows big enough to require a bigger pot. It can also be potted as a hanging plant. For non-hanging pots, wooden, wire or plastic coated stakes should be used as the vines have a tendency to crawl up the supports. The long vines can be rolled around the stakes.
