CUET Exam Pattern 2022: CUET 2022 or Common University Entrance Test is a national level entrance test conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). Earlier known as CUCET, CUET is expected to be held in the 1 st and 2 nd week of July 2022 for admissions to undergraduate programs. CUET Exam Pattern 2022: Latest Updates
- As per the latest CUET 2022 updates, the entrance test will be conducted in two slots. The duration of the first slot will be 195 minutes, and the second slot will be 225 minutes.
- The exam in the first slot will consist of one language test, two domain-specific exams, and a general test. However, the second slot will contain four language and domain-specific tests.
- CUET will have three sections where the first section is divided into two subparts –
- Section IA – 13 Languages
- Section IB – 19 Languages
- Section II – 27 Domain-specific Subjects
- Section III – General Test
- For each right answer, the candidate will be awarded 5 marks, and for every wrong, 1 mark is deducted.
- NTA revised the marking scheme, where they stated that if none of the options is found correct or questions are found to be wrong, or a question is dropped, then all the candidates who have attempted the dropped question will be rewarded with 5 marks.

CUET 2022 Exam Pattern: Key Points
- The CUET 2022 exam will be held in two slots. The exam will be conducted on different days based on the subjects chosen by the candidates.
- The candidates can take 4 tests in the morning slot, i.e. Slot 1. The test will include languages from Section IA, a maximum of two domain-specific tests (Section II) and a general test (Section III).
- In Slot 2 of the CUET test, candidates can take a maximum of 5 tests – one language test from Section IA and Section IB and four domain-specific subject tests from Section II.

CUET Marking Scheme
The candidates must note that the marking scheme is similar for both lots of CUET. For every right answer, candidates will be awarded 5 marks, and there is a negative marking of 1 mark. Thus, candidates must get familiar with the marking scheme while appearing for the exam. It can help the candidate focus on the questions that score his marks. Also, candidates should not do guesswork, which can lead to negative marking.

It helps the candidates in mastering and polishing their skills like speed, accuracy, and familiarity with functionalities while taking the mock test. CUET 2022Exam Day Guidelines: Important Points
- Reach the examination centre 1 or 2 hours before the exam. However, candidates should not delay or take any chances. Candidates must keep in mind that test-takers will not be allowed to enter the venue 30 minutes before the exam.
- Candidates must keep all the documents handy and carry them all without fail. The documents include –a hard copy of the admit card and authorized photo ID.
- Candidates must stay careful while attempting the exam, as there will be negative markings.
- Candidates must note that they won’t be allowed to take most of the items in the exam center. So follow the guidelines mentioned on the admit card.
