Remember Quicksilver messenger Service in the early seventees? Well, Cipollina was the lead guitarist of the group, one of the best guitarist of his generation, with Duane Allman. Of course, when we talk about Quicksilver, we also think of the San Francisco scene at that time: Janis Joplin, The Doors, Grateful Dead, Frank Zappa, Jefferson Airplane... I knew them, I was there too. We had a lot of fun and music blow our minds out. What's left of it? Well, just hear those archives recording and you'II find out by yourself. Of course, at that time of "peace and love", Cipollina was already a guitar hero. |
