WALKING TOWARDS THE END written by phoenix blues novembre 2014
A Man walking away in Canal st. with the rags of thoughts in his hand, hands that caressing the sounds of a life around the world, a man is still walking, but his footsteps haven’t longer sound
In the eyes still smoke and lights, in his ears the laughter and applause, still feel the smell of beer and woman But it’s far away, and the memory fades every step more, today
You can find in House of Blues the side where you don’t see anyone, with his glass full of regrets No troughts in this mind For people like him .... Is walking towords the end
A boy with roses Offers him one But the old man says sofltly I haven't a woman who give it I keep her In my heart Buy one,... he gets up And he start over to walk again
A man is walking in Great New Orleans Bridge Wearing his dress for the big concert And now he whistles a sad blues Rags become silk of a big curtain And hands glide the keys of the heart
Don't you find more in Bourbon st. And the table's side is empty Remains only a glass full of regrets He was a man.... that towards in the end but his footsteps no has longer sound
A man vanisces away But you can hear him humming On the Ferry boat lost midnight ride from Canal maybe you'll hear him play again Start music burts applause In the last session of great man Who has arrived Where he had to go |
