Faced with the crisis, the EU is considering amending the Constitutional Treaty

Countries of the European Union have agreed Sunday to study possible changes of the Treaty of the EU to improve the functioning of the euro area and in particular to strengthen fiscal discipline, has announced its President Herman Van Rompuy.
