Goodbye/Hello 3 - The G-20 Summit Clarion Call

The G-20 Summit is akin to the sounding of the ram horn as a clarion call for all tribes to lay down their differences and come together to stabilize the global economy. This unified step forward is the first test in our ability to recognize that all nations are connected. The days of countries looking for answers, independent of each other, and blind to our global interconnectedness are over.

America led the way first by demonstrating reconciliation on the world stage. And now we go about working together as one of twenty nations helping to steer toward a financial global infrastructure that can adapt to a changing 21st Century world. The G-20 Summit is therefor the baseline from which all global leaders will be measured. For without the ability to stabilize our economies through combined efforts of wiser regulations, good stimulus investments, and sounder financial practices we will fall short of our obligations to address the larger even more pressing world issues that lay just around the next bend.

Our ability to coalesce and find answers to global warming, world hunger, water, and meeting the basic needs of all the world's people is where building a sustainable world begins. We cannot waste time leaving the larger human and environmental issues to another day for we are running critically short on tomorrows. The G-20 Summit can be seen as a earnest, fortuitous start, for us to begin to work together as world citizens. We need to get this right for future generations, and our very survival.

Goodbye to world leaders who are blind to global interconnectedness.

Goodbye to governments that rule with force and control with little regard to humanity. 
Hello to governments whose laws and beliefs give a high regard to humanity.

Goodbye to nations that use bluster, rhetoric, and rash actions to enforce their agendas. 
Hello to nations that use restraint, firmness, and thoughtful actions to foster trust.
