Hasankeyf : la diga si farà

Iieri si è tenuta una riunione ad hasankeyf organizzata dall'ammnistratore del distretto di Batman.
presenti il DSI e l'agenzia di stato per l'edilizia.
Hanno comunicato che la decisione di costruire la diga è presa e che loro compito è quello di organizzare i piani di sfollamento.
ALLA riunione hanno preso parte il sindaco di hasankeyf e Diren dell'initiative to keep hasanekyf alive.
Il sindaco ha detto che la loro protesta continuerà anche se potranno mettersi a discutere di questioni relative a esproprio e sfollamento.

yesterday was a public meeting in hasankeyf on the ilisu project organized by state officials. Diren, the coordinator of our Initiative, particpated to this meeting and reported the following:

"In the beginning of the meeting the mayor of hasankeyf said that they will continue with their struggle in every case, even the construction starts. then he said they can also discuss the expropriation/resettlement issue nevertheless. they demand that the houses will be given without charge. according to Diren his speach was really good."

"The meeting was conducted by the Hasankeyf district administrator (one step below the gouvernor of Batman). There were also the DSI deputy general director and the expropriation-head of DSI and represetatives of TOKI (the state construction agency which builds for more than 20 years housing estates in all bigge cities). At the district administrator said that they will not discuss the dam because the decision to build the dam is taken, they want to inform only about resettlement. He did not allow that people talk about that aspect. The DSI deputy general director said that they do everything what is necessary for the development of the country and that the construction of the dam has started. Then I asked him how this can be possible and right without fullfilling the 153 conditions? Also i said that Hasankeyf is protected of beeing an archeological site. This question was answered not by DSI, rather by the Hasankeyf district administrator who was tensioned. He said that we can take As we can see this meeting is superficial. It is more done in order to say that it is done and to write it in the documents. particularly the district administrator tries to influence the people. he says to the people that the state will do everything what they want and so he wants to seem to the people friendly.
Within 1-2 days i will get a copy of the survey whic starts today in Hasankeyf"
