Il 5 novembre i Duran Duran entreranno nella Rock&Roll Hall of Fame: con alle spalle quarant’anni di carriera sono la band più longeva della storia del pop. Simon Le bon, John Taylor, Nick Rhodes, Roger Taylor, e il fuoriuscito Andy Taylor, hanno segnato un’epoca proponendo un mix di rock, new wave e funk, per poi evolversi fino ad arrivare al rock giapponese. Ovviamente, si è evoluto anche il look che ora predilige una certa sobrietà “in nero” con qualche concessione glam. Del resto i magnifici quattro hanno sessant’anni, ma è difficile non convenire che per tutti resteranno i wild boys degli anni Ottanta.
