Liberazione Animale. Molte persone riconoscono queste due parole, pochi capiscono il loro reale significato. Perché se lo capissero farebbero subito qualcosa di concreto.
Quando parliamo di vincere la causa della liberazione animale, intendiamo proprio questo. Lottare per questo, andare in prigione per questo, vincere. Non perdete tempo a parlarne, bevendo birra al pub o mangiando polpette vegetali. Andate là fuori e vincete! Per alcuni di noi la causa della liberazione animale è una guerra che intendiamo vincere. Se falliremo sarà perché non abbiamo dato il massimo o perché non ci abbiamo creduto abbastanza. Per alcuni di noi le lacrime sono vere, il cuore si spezza veramente e si è pronti a morire per vincere questa guerra. Se non si agisce si giustifica... se non si combatte, non si vince. E se non si vince si è responsabili delle morti e delle sofferenze che continuano a ripetersi all'infinito... Agli animali non importa niente di come noi intendiamo vincere o perché, tutto ciò che vogliono è avere indietro la loro vita, la loro libertà Ora!

Con passo vacillante
e con il corpo stremato
giungo alla fine dei miei giorni.
Forse stasera morirò
e da sotto questa quercia
con l’ultimo respiro, che mi resta in gola,
vorrei ringraziare il Signore
per il pane che mi ha fatto trovare
nella spazzatura,
per l’acqua che ha fatto scendere dal cielo per
dissetarmi,
per i sacrati delle chiese
dove ho potuto ripararmi.
Si, Signore,
io sono uno di quelli
uno fra i tanti che non sa
cos’è il calore di una cuccia,
il sapore di un osso,
la carezza di un padrone.
Conosco solo
il dolore dei calci sul dorso,
le sassate sulla fronte,
le gomme di quella macchina
che mi hanno spinto nel burrone.
Ricordo, poi
quella mano, grande, pesante,
che ancora cucciolo mi ha
abbandonato nella strada,
dove vissi tutto il mio calvario.
Ho attraversato monti, boschi e paesi
nessuno mai, mi ha tenuto con sé,
nessuno, mai, mi ha dato un nome.
Dalla nascita ho sempre portato il tuo
“ Cane.”
Signore,
tante sono le cose che vorrei dirti;
ma…..
il cuore ha rallentato il battito
e il respiro s’affievola sempre più.
Perdonami! E ti supplico:
fa che la mano dell’uomo
non abbandoni più
un cucciolo nella strada.
E’ triste vivere da vagabondi,
è penoso essere soli,
ed essere soprattutto semplicemente
solo un cane.
Abbracciami almeno tu
in quest’attimo.
