Stasera non ho molta voglia di scrivere e passerei subito alla selezione musicale.

Stavo guardando la tele (mi capita solo al momento di cenare a dire la verità) e ho visto una spot con una colonna sonora che mi ha fatto ritornare in mente una bella canzone del 2004 (mi sembra) "Coin-Operated Boy" dei Dresden Dolls . Chi sono? Rispondo subito: sono un duo statunitense, composto da Amanda Palmer (voce e tastiera) e Brian Viglione (batteria, basso, chitarra), che "condiscono" le loro performance live con situazioni cabarettistiche (in fondo, si ispirano ad autori quali Bertolt Brecht e Kurt Weill e loro stessi hanno chiamato la loro proposta musicale "Brechtian Punk-Cabaret"). L'anno scorso la cantante ha deciso, con l'album "Who Killed Amanda Palmer", di intraprendere un progetto solista, ottenendo un buon riscontro da parte della crtitica americana (in Italia non credo sia nemmeno uscito questo CD). Inserisco due versioni del brano: una live perchè il gruppo funziona molto bene dal vivo e il video originale, che sono riuscito a trovare dopo una lunga ricerca .
