Tag: Craig McCauley, Daini no Sanmi, Goshui Wakashu, Goshuishu, Goshuishu-12-0709, Kenneth Rexroth, Murasaki Shikibu, Ogura Hyakunin Isshu, Steven Carter, William N. Porter Daini no Sanmi 大弐三位 (nota anche agli inglesi col nome di Lady Kataiko, da altro suo nome Fujiwara no Kataiko o no Kenshi 藤原賢子 ふじわら の かたいこ/けんし) era figlia di Murasaki Shikibu 紫式部. La poesia, oltre che la numero 709 del Goshuishu 後拾遺集, è anche la numero 58 dell' Ogura Hyakunin Isshu 小倉百人一首. ありまやま-ゐなのささはら-かせふけは-いてそよひとを-わすれやはする Arimayama / Ina no sasawara / Kaze fukeba / Ide soyo hito o / Wasure ya wa suru As Mount Arima / Sends its rustling winds across / Ina's bamboo plains, / I will be just as steadfast / And never will forget you. As fickle as the mountain gusts / That on the moor I've met, / ’Twere best to think no more of thee, / And let thee go. But yet / I never can forget. From Mt. Arima / over the bamboo plaints of Ina, / the wind blows / rustling the leaves. / Now shall I ever forget him? Near Arima Hill / the wind through Ina's bamboos / blows constantly / and just as constant am I / in my resolve not to forget. Avrò la costanza del vento che spira dal Monte Arima sulle foglie dei bambù di Ima. Come potrò mai dimenticarlo? Daini no Sanmi nacque nel 999 e morì nel 1082. Fu poetessa molto stimata, tanto che è, al numero 15, nella lista Nyobo Sanjurokkasen 女房三十六歌仙. In 16 Antologie Imperiali compaiono 37 sue poesie, a partire dalla 4^ (Goshui 後拾遺和歌集, 9 poesie) sino all'ultima (Shinshokukokin 新続古今和歌集, 1 poesia). Partecipò ad almeno quattro Uta Awase 歌合, nel 1028 (Jotomon In Kiku Awase 上東門院菊合), nel 1049 (Dairi Uta Awase 内裏歌合, nel 1050 (Yushi Naishinno Ke Uta Awase 祐子内親王家歌合) e nel 1978 (Dairi Goban Uta Awase 内裏後番歌合), ormai quasi ottantenne. Ha lasciato una sua collezione di poesie, intitolata Daini no Sanmi Shu 『大弐三位集』 (nota anche con un altro suo nome, To no Sanmi Shu 『藤三位集』). Daini no Sanmi è conosciuta anche con i nomi Echigo no Ben 越後弁 えちごのべん ed Echigo no Ben no Menoto 越後弁乳母 えちごのべんのめのと o Ben no Menoto 弁乳母 べんのめのと. L'interessante scheda recita: A tekagami, or album of exemplary calligraphy, is a collection of excerpts from old scrolls or books of sutras, poems and letters. The selection of calligraphers in a tekagami, its types of calligraphy and its order tell us about the changing tastes in classical Japanese-style calligraphy over the years. Moshigusa, an album of 242 detached segments ranging from the Nara to the Muromachi Periods, was handed down from generation to generation as a reference register a family that remained the central, calligraphy authority throughout the Edo period. Among the segments is the "Muromachi-gire," one of only two surviving fragments from the Hitomaroshu, which is part of the Anthologies of Thirty-Six Poets, formerly owned by the Nishi-Honganji temple. The "Okadera-gire" is another rare, detached segment from Minamoto Shitagoshu of the same set. Both are excellent specimens of kana script in the early-12th Century.
