everything keeps falling down
from its loose grippings -

I hate what I have become:
a motionless parasite sucking whatever sap
my blind lips can smell.
A mildly educated beggar who pretends
to himself and to the others he's climbing
up a non precisely defined ladder of importance
and wise thoughts to be displayed with flashes
when the mundane opportunity requests
my irresistible sad jests.

I cannot think anymore.
I cannot stop gallivating round
my own pastic burned out illusions.

To what unexpected roots
my tattered soul is hanging on?
