But be contented: when that fell arrest Without all bail shall carry me away, My life hath in this line some interest, Which for memorial still with thee shall stay. When thou reviewest this, thou dost review The very part was consecrate to thee: The earth can have but earth, which is his due; My spirit is thine, the better part of me. So then thou hast but lost the dregs of life, The prey of worms, my body being dead, The coward conquest of a wretch's knife, Too base of thee to be remembered. The worth of that is that which it contains, And that is this, and this with thee remains.

Those parts of thee that the world's eye doth view Want nothing that the thought of hearts can mend; All tongues, the voice of souls, give thee that due, Uttering bare truth, even so as foes commend. Thy outward thus with outward praise is crowned; But those same tongues that give thee so thine own In other accents do this praise confound, By seeing farther than the eye hath shown. They look into the beauty of thy mind And that, in guess, they measure by thy deeds; Then, churls their thoughts, although their eyes were kind, To thy fair flower add the rank smell of weeds; But why thy odour matcheth not thy show, The soil is this, that thou dost common grow.

(((((((()))))))) No longer mourn for me when I am dead Than you shall hear the surly sullen bell Give warning to the world that I am fled From this vile world, with vilest worms to dwell: Nay, if you read this line, remember not The hand that writ it; for I love you so That I in your sweet thoughts would be forgot If thinking on me then should make you woe. O, if, I say, you look upon this verse When I perhaps compounded am with clay, Do not so much as my poor name rehearse; But let your love even with my life decay, Lest the wise world should look into your moan And mock you with me after I am gone. |

the slime of all my yesterdays rots in the hollow of my skull and if my stomach would contract because of some explicable phenomenon such as pregnancy or constipation I would not remember you or that because of sleep infrequent as a moon of greencheese that because of food nourishing as violet leaves that because of these and in a few final yards of grass in a few spaces of sky and treetops a future was lost yesterday as easily and irretrievably as a tennis ball at twilight €€€€€€€€ la melma di tutti i miei ieri marcisce nel cavo del mio cranio e se mi si contraesse la pancia a causa di qualche fenomeno spiegabile come gravidanza o stitichezza non mi ricorderei di te o che a causa di sonno infrequente come una luna di formaggio verde che a causa di cibo nutriente come foglie di violetta che a causa di questi e in certi metri d'erba finali in certi spazi di cielo e cime d'alberi un futuro si è perso ieri così facilmente e irrimediabilmente come una palla da tennis al crepuscolo |

Good friend for Jesus sake forbeare,
To dig the dust enclosed here.
Blessed be the man that spares these stones,
And cursed be he that moves my bones.
