Oggi la comunità kurda ha occupato pacificamente  gli uffici della sede nazionale di Amnesty. 

This morning several
representatives of the Kurdish community in Italy  peacefully occupied AI
Italy office. They gave us a dossier about the  worsening of health
condition of Abdullah Ocalan, currently detained in isolation in Imrali. The
dossier alleges that Abdullah Ocalan was poisoned  while in his cell and
that medical anslysis on Ocalan's hairs evidence  here in Italy would prove
the poisoning claims.
 
 The Kurdish community representatives
informed us that 78 people are  currently in hunger strike in Strasbourg
and in other cities.
 
 I suggested that the Kurdish community
hold a press conference within two  or three days to let the press know
their concerns. At that press  conference, organized by them, I'll take
part and I'll explain AI's  current concerns about the situation of
Abdullah Ocalan.
 
 The Kurdish community strongly asks AI to
express publicly its concerns  about this issue and to launch an emergency
action both on the worsening  of Abdullah Ocalan's condition and on the
Kurdish people in hunger strike.  They have asked me to let you know that,
if AI does not take the case  urgently, they will start a hunger strike in
Italy, too.
 
 They also press for AI request the Turkish
government to allow independent  hr monitors and medical experts to visit
Imrali.
