FOOTBALL: Belgium - France: Nasri and Abidal are back at the Blues

 

Absent for more than a year the size of the team of France defender Eric Abidal and midfielder Samir Nasri were summoned Thursday, August 8 by se ; Chooser Didier Deschamps for the friendly match against Belgium on August 14.

Now in Monaco, the former FC Barcelona player Eric Abidal had made his last appearance at the Blues in February 2012 before undergoing a second operation to treat his liver cancer. Despite his long absence, Didier Deschamps still wants to believe in the potential of 33-years. "It is back to compete because he was able to participate in friendly matches with Monaco," he said at a press conference.

Samir Nasri was honored to share his last selection at Euro 2012. He had to forfeit the South American tour in June of the France team because of an injury.

A first for Kondogbia

Didier Deschamps has chosen to focus on the experience, but also to trust the youth. And it calls for the first time in midfield Sevilla Geoffrey Kondogbia, recent world champion under 20 years.
