Teramo è situata a NE del Gran Sasso e offre una vista spettacolare sui principali gruppi di questo sistema montuoso. Nella fotografia (scattata dal parcheggio dell’Università) si vedono, da sinistra: il monte Corno, con le cime Orientale e Occidentale, massime elevazioni della catena (oltre 2900 m); il pizzo Intermesoli; il monte Corvo. Tra il monte Corno e l’Intermesoli scende la val Maone; tra l’Intermesoli e il Corvo la valle del Venacquaro. Olympus e-PM1 e obiettivo 40-150 mm regolato su 40 mm.
Teramo is located NE of the Gran Sasso, the tallest mountain of the Appennini (2,914 m – almost 10,000 feet).The city offers a scenic view of the most important elevations of the Gran Sasso: from left the mount Corno (Horn) with the East and West summits, the mount Intermesoli, and finalli the mount Corvo (Raven). The Corno and Intermesoli are separated by Maone valley, Intermesoli and Corvo by the Venacquaro valley. I took this image from the parking lot of Teramo University with an Olympus e-PM1 and a 40-150 mm lens, set to the shortest focal length.
