Il sole di George e Elton non tramonta

Ieri sera ultime due puntate della serie "1992" di Stafano Accorsi dedicata alla stagione di "Mani pulite". Sono andato a cercare la classifica dei dischi più venduti di quell'anno e al secondo posto c'era "Don't let the sound go down on me" nella versione di Elton John e George Michael. L'originale è di Sir Elton ed è datata 1974 e si trova nell'album "Caribou". I due la fecero dal vivo nel Live Aid del 1986 e poi nel 1991 si riesibirono in un concerto a Wembley. Di quell'esibizione fu fatto il 45 giri che è stato primo per settimane in quasi tutta Europa, Italia compresa e se si pensa che è uscito appunto nel 1991 e ancora nel 1992 è stato il secondo singolo più venduto nel nostro paese la dice lunga sul suo successo. Ecco.. Questa versione è proprio la canzone del giorno. Buon ascolto e buon mercoledì. A domani!!
