Oggi si insedia alla Casa Bianca Barack Obama, 44° presidente degli Stati Uniti d'America e il primo di colore. Questo già di per sé è un fatto straordinario se si considera che ancora negli anni cinquanta i neri erano discriminati e tutt'ora esistono notevoli frange xenofobe. La speranza di tutti è che questo evento non si limiti ad un fatto "epidermico" ma che possa essere un segnale di svolta per tutto il mondo e a tutti i livelli: sociali, politici ed economici. Come mi sembra di aver scritto da qualche parte il tempo ci dirà se le speranze sono ben riposte, e come tutti i capi di stato sarà la storia a giudicarlo. Comunque sia ho deciso di mettermi dalla parte dei fiduciosi e per l'occasione ho scelto l'"inno" di Obama, "Yes we can".
