Il supremo Robbie

C'è stato un periodo in cui ho pubblicato diverse canzoni di Robbie Williams. L'altro giorno ne ho sentita un'altra, tra l'altro per me molto bella, e sono andato a controllare il mio archivio. Nisba. Credo di aver capito il perchè. E' un brano del 2000 quando Robbie aveva già lasciato i take That da qualche anno ma soprattutto ancora non esisteva il blog. Secondo me ho ancora un tesoro di canzoni dei primi anni del millennio che ho mancato. Farò qualche ricerca. Intanto ascoltatevi "Supreme" dall'album "Sing when you're winning". Contrariamente a quanto scritto venerdì ieri poi sono riuscito a fare un post dedicato alla giornata ed è slitatta ad oggi la seconda altre due canzoni che avevo sentito su Radio Capital. E' un brano di James Taylor del 1976 dall'album "In the pocket". Il pezzo si intitola "Shower the people". A me la voce e il genere di Taylor mi piace molto così come questa canzone. Un Padrino è per sempre

Eccomi qui.... Di ritorno dalla splendida festa per il battesimo del mio bellissimo nipotino Samuele, figlio di Vincent e Francesca. Ho avuto anche l'onore di fargli da padrino. Ho cercato e cercato anche ieri ma non sono riuscito a trovare canzoni sul battesimo. Per quanto riguarda le canzoni sui bambini il meglio l'ho già messo. Allora, visto che si parla di battestimo ho scelto una canzone sull'acqua. Ho trovato questa "La canzone dell'acqua" di Ron. Non è il meglio ma mi piaceva comunque fare un pst su questa giornata. Più amore per i Climax

Per questo weekend ci saranno tre canzoni recuperate grazie a Radio Capital e Shazam. Preparo i post oggi perchè già so che sarà un fine setttimana impegnativo ma avrò modo di spiegarmi. La prima canzone è un brano del 1980 della band Climax Blues Band. Il nome non mi diceva niente ma la canzone si. Si intitola "Gotta have more love" dall'album "Flying the flag" ed è decisamente un brano degli anni ottanta. Buon ascolto e a domani che ci aspetta un grande evento!!

Prefab Sprout vs. Boss

Radio Capital ogni tanto racconta degli aneddoti divertenti. Qualche giorno fa ho scoperto questo: Nel 1988 i Prefab Sprout pubblicano il singolo "Cars and girls" dall'album "Fron Langley Park to Memphis". Quello che non sapevo è che la canzone è indirizzata a Bruce Springsteen "accusato" di parlare, nelle sue canzoni, solo di donne e di macchine. Il bello è che recentemenete Bruce ha candidamente confessato che si, nelle sue canzoni parla di macchine e motori ma l'ha fatto senza capirci niente ma soprattutto.... senza nemmeno avere la patente.... Ciao piccola Birba

Una settimana fa ci ha salutati per sempre la nostra piccola Birba (si... è quella della foto), una gattina persiana che, arrivata a 17 anni, ha affrontato l'arcobaleno e ci ha lasciati tristi e un po' più soli. Per questioni di famiglia non era opportuno che ne scrivessi ma adesso posso e Birba si merita un saluto anche qui. Qualche giorno fa su Soundblog anticipavano che tra le uscite del 30 agosto c'era anche il nuovo singolo di Willie Peyote che, se non ricordo male, ho pubblicato in un featuring con i Subsonica. IL titlo della canzone è "La tua futura ex moglie" e come titolo mi era piaciuto. Oggi l'hanno passata a RAdio Capital e non è una cosa che succede spesso che passino singoli appena usciti e già anticipati da Soundblog. Probabilmente Willie appartiene alla cerchia dei "graditi" dalla direzione. Comunque si fa che la metto anche io.... Buon lunedì e a domani!

Terzo singolo inedito del weekend. Stavolta il protagonista della canzone del giorno è Mameli che, con la collaborazione di Alex Britti, ha pubblicato due giorni fa la canzone "Anche quando piove" che ho scelto come brano del giorno.
