AL HAMDU LI ALLAHI RABBI AL 'ALAMIN WA SALAH WA SALAM 'ALA RUSULI ALLAHI AGMA 'IN
Fratelli e sorelle: vediamo oggi come la giustizia sia la base della sicurezza e della tranquillità, che sono fra i doni più nobili concessi da Allah all'essere umano. La sicurezza è uno dei tre pilastri per conseguire i benefici del mondo terreno come ha detto il Profeta (la pace su di Lui): "Chi può trascorrere la notte sapendo che la sua famiglia è al sicuro, essendo sano e possedendo il nutrimento quotidiano è come se avesse conquistato il mondo intero".
Allah concesse questo dono prezioso anche alla tribù dei Quraish come leggiamo nel Sacro Corano: "Per l'unione concorde dei Quraish, unione concorde in carovane d'inverso e d'estate! Adorate dunque il Signore di questa Casa che li sfamò quando ebbero fame, e li rassicurò da ogni timore" (Sura dei Quraish CVI, vv. 1-4).
Ma affinchè la sicurezza si realizzi è necessario rafforzare il più importante dei suoi fondamenti cioè la giustizia, che consiste nell'accordare ad ognuno quanto gli spetta di diritto senza aggiungere o togliere alcunché, anche se si trattasse di un nemico così come ha detto Allah l'Altissimo: "O voi che credete! State ritti innanzi a Dio come testimoni di equità e non vi induca l'odio contro gente empia ad agire ingiustamente. Agite con giustizia, perché questa è la cosa più vicina alla pietà, e temete Dio, poiché Dio sa quello che voi fate" (Sura della mensa V, v. 8), e Dio Potente ed Eccelso ha detto ancora: "In verità Dio ordina la giustizia, la beneficienza..." (Sura dell'ape XVI, v. 90).
In effetti la giustizia è un dovere, la beneficienza è un merito e il sovrappiù è sunna. Non devono esistere favoritismi, come ad esempio fra ricchi o parenti. Perfino gli 'Ulama hanno affermato che il giudice deve usare giustizia con i contendenti in modo assoluto, nonostante la diversità delle loro opinioni.
Da tutto ciò comprendiamo l'importanza di un hadith riferito da Abu Huraira (Dio si compaccia di lui) secondo il quale il Messaggero (la pace su di lui) disse: "Allah tiene sotto la Sua protezione sette nel giorno del giudizio". Fra questi il primo è colui che esercita la propria autorità in modo giusto perché è come un pastore nella sua casa ed è responsabile del suo gregge e deve esserci giustizia in ogni suo comportamento. Agendo così ottiene sicurezza e nessuno è oppresso.
A questo proposito Allah Potente ed Eccelso ha detto: "Coloro che credono e non vestono la loro fede di ingiustizia, di quelli è la sicurezza, essi sono i ben guidati" (Sura dei greggi VI, v. 82).
Se la giustizia è la base della sicurezza, l'ingiustizia è la base dell' insicurezza, del malessere e delle guerre che sono l'espressione dell'incapacità degli uomini di trovare il miglior modo di convivere serenamente seguendo gli insegnamenti di Allah l'Altissimo, che fanno della giustizia un valore fondamentale del vivere insieme, qualunque sia il periodo o lo spazio.
Preghiamo Dio di includerci fra coloro che seguono questi insegnamenti.

"Justice is a fundamental Islamic principal"

Brothers and sisters: today we see how justice constitutes the basement of security and peacefulness, two of the most noble gifts of Allah for human beings. Security is one of the three pilasters to get the benefits of earthly world, as the Prophet (Peace be upon him) has said: "The one who can pass the night knowing his family is protected and sure, being healthy and daily nourished, it is the same as if he had conquered the whole world".
Allah conceded this precious gift even to the Koraysh tribe, as we read on the Holy Koran: "For the custom of the Koraysh, their custom of the winter and summer journey. Therefore let them worship the Lord of this House who fed them from hunger and secured them from fear”. (Sura CVI, “Koraish”, vv. 1-4).
But for safety to become a fact it’s necessary to reinforce the most important of its fundaments which is justice, and consists in giving each one what expects him in right, without adding or removing anything, even if its concerning an enemy, as Allah the Almighty has said: " Believers, be dutiful to Allah and bearers of just witness. Do not allow your hatred for other people to turn you away from justice. Deal justly; it is nearer to piety. Have fear of Allah; Allah is Aware of what you do". (Sura V, “The Table”, v. 8). And God Powerful and Almighty has still said: " Allah orders justice, and good deeds, and giving to one's kindred..." (Sura XVI, “The Bees, v. 90).
In fact, justice is an obligation, beneficence is a merit and “over spilling” is sunna. There must not be favouritism, as for example between rich people or relatives. Even the ‘Ulama have affirmed that the judge must use an absolute justice with the quarrellers, notwithstanding their different opinions.
From all this we understand the importance of an hadith referred by Abu Huraira (God be pleased with him) according to which the Messenger (Peace be upon him) said: “Allah has seven under His protection on the day of the crack of doom”. Between those, the first is that one who uses his own authority with justice, because he is as a shepherd in his own house, responsible of his herd, and there must be justice in each one of his actions. Behaving in this way he obtains security and nobody is oppressed.
To this purpose Allah Powerful and Almighty has said: " Those who believe and have not confounded their belief with harm security belongs to them; and they are guided”. (Sura VI, “The Cattle”, v. 82).
If justice is the basement of security, injustice is the basement of insecurity, unease and the wars that are the expression of human-beings incapacity to find the best way to cohabit peacefully following the teachings of Allah the Almighty, which makes of justice a fundamental value to live together, in any time or place.
We pray God to include us between those who follow this teachings.
